There is rather common misconception that only teenagers are prone to getting acne, and once the teenage years are gone, we are all - or most of all - acne free. This is, sadly, a myth only. Truth is, acne occurs regularly in adults as well. It occurs in young, old, female, male, and every race known to man. Unfortunately for many acne is a chronic skin condition that needs heavy treatment long after the teenage years are gone.

Usually women are more prone to acne than me, simply because women are struggling with hormonal changes more frequently (think menstruation) than men. Also women go through pregnancy and menopause, which men are not blessed with. So basically any factors contributing to changes in hormones can cause acne.

Another factor is the type of your skin. Oilier skin is for one, slow to develop wrinkles, freckles and discolorations, but on the other hand it is more prone to acne breakouts than dry skin at any give time in ones life.

So as you can see, acne hits everyone, no matter who you are and where you are. We all can benefit of acne natural treatment, which is luckily very effective and so readily available.
