Infant acne, or baby acne, occurs quite naturally on the skin of babies (particularly on the face, neck and shoulders), anything from a few weeks old up to 6 months old. Unlike the teen or adult acne, infant acne usually goes away by itself. One reason that in fact acne occurs is because the babies are learning the various hormones in the body. Sometimes it is also believed that the hormone received by the fetus is responsible for the pimples. Scientists are also looking for other factors that may flare up the acne.
