Did you know that people around the turn of the last Century were using sulphur to treat their acne naturally?  This is because they caused short-term abrasion of the skin and acted as disinfectants. In the meantime though, research eventually revealed that acne treated with sulphur-based preparations returned with increased severity, thus the use of sulphur ointments to treat your acne is not advisable.
