Ayurveda promotes a natural treatment for acne, ignoring all the chemicals involved in over the counter pills, creams, lotions, etc. It takes the stand that healing starts from inside out. When your body is healthy, your skin will radiate automatically.

Some of the more widely used ayurvedic acne natural treatments is in diet, particularly using herbs. Ayurveda is all herbal and natural.

For example, did you know that aloe vera helps remove acne scars and restores the nice shine of your skin? And the common rose (what is common about rose anyway?) helps reducing the acne inflamations.

Here are some other natural healing ways for acne using ayurvedic methods:

  • apply jamun (Syzgium cumini) seeds mixed with water on the pimples to reduce its growth (jamun is the indian blackberry, or the black plum)
  • Make a pure of milk, lemon juice and fennel seeds and apply this cream on your face before going to sleep at night. In the morning, during your regular bathroom ritual, wash your face with lukewarm water. This is a very quick way to remove your acne for example if you have a social gathering to attend to shortly.
  • Mix a spoonful of salt in a cup of hot water. Sponge your face with this liquid using a towel. Now you’ll notice that it’s a bit stingy, as the salt is coming into contact with the acne, however stick with it. In 10 days you should be acne free.
  • One of my favourites, use some dried orange peels to crush to a powder (or you can buy it at your natural health shop). Mix this with rose water, and give it a try. It works wonders and is all natural.

There are several more ways to treat acne naturally, however these are some that I found work best and are more readily available. Stick with any of these for anything between a week and a month, and you will see the results for yourself. Acne natural treatment works and that’s a fact.
