Acne home remedy - Ginger
The best acne home remedy is right around you, by your house. Acne is a very common occurrence in our lives, one that most people choose to live with, but one that you don’t have to, if you don’t want to.
Many people don’t know that you can actually treat your acne with simple, readily available home remedies, quick to put together and with fast effect. One of the best acne home remedy that I have used a lot is tomato pulp. This not only treats acne, but also the acne scars remaining after the acne is long gone. Tomato has a natural acid which kills bacteria in the skin, and it is also a natural exfoliate.
I have written a previous article specifically about treating acne with tomato pulp, so you can read it here.
Another ingredient for your acne home remedy, maybe even better than tomato pulp is ginger. Ginger has strong anti-inflammatory properties and it strengthens your immune system.
Do you know that ginger is also very effective in treating migraines and for its anti-nausea activity? Ginger is becoming the next natural aspirin.
I have read controversial opinions on using ginger topically on acne. Some say to rub ginger gently over the pimple, or combine ground ginger with milk and apply to the affected area.
Others say that ginger should only be used culinarily, internally, not directly on the acne spot. I haven’t found any medical journal that officially says one or the other, so instead I say use it, but if you want to use it on you acne, caution is required. Try it on one pimple first and see if any sensitivity, irritations occur. If yes, then use it internally only. That is very safe and very healthy.
Internally, one way to use it is making ginger juice and drink it 2-3 times a day. You can add your own flavour to it and make it taste the way you like it.
