Teen acne and how to treat it

Teen acneAcne is most common in teens. Almost every teenager experienced the dread of acne at one time or another. Acne in teens is called acne vulgaris, and its mild version is a normal condition of puberty and teen years.

The way acne vulgaris works is that it appears on the face (most common place), on the neck, shoulders, the upper back and on the chest. It consists of blackheads or whiteheads, which are noninflamatory or mildly inflammatory lesions. The more severe version of it is nodular or cystic acne. They can be disfiguring and quite painful, and leave permanent scars. (more…)
